This Week on “All In The Family” Ms. Robinson interviews Dick Gregory, African American comedian and civil rights activist whose social satire changed the way white Americans perceived African American comedians since he first performed in public. After a bout with cancer he developed an interest in vegetarianism and became a nutritional consultant. In 1984 he founded Health Enterprises, Inc., a company that distributed weight loss products. In 1987 Gregory introduced the Slim-Safe Bahamian Diet, a powdered diet mix, which was immensely profitable. You can read more on Dick Gregory. [Excerpted from]

2013 Pride Wrap-Up Special – Part 1

Tuesday, July 2nd, 2013

If you’ve been keeping up with our blog, Facebook, and Twitter accounts, you are well-aware that was a sponsor for the 2013 Stonewall Columbus Pride Festival. We had a blast filming and interviewing at one of the biggest events in the Midwest. With the help of Queer Minded hosts Dwayne and Deo, we were amped and ready to take to the streets to speak with attendees, but not before we got some perspective about Pride from the hosts themselves!

In the clip, Dwayne and Deo share their initial feelings on Queer Minded’s success, tell what it’s like to be the only talk radio show of its kind, and the impact they feel the program has had on the LGBTQ community and their allies. In addition to talking about Queer Minded, the dynamic duo discusses the significance of Pride celebrations and why they are overjoyed to be a part of the festivities this year. Check out part one of a two-part episode!

Stay tuned for part two of the Pride Wrap-Up Special!
